The National Organizer of Ghana Muslim Students Association(GMSA), Madam Kafaya Salami, has urged young Muslim women not to drop their Hijab after their second cycle education.

She said many young ladies at the senior high schools usually refrain from wearing the long outfit after graduating , and that the act is immoral and must be discouraged.

Speaking at the National Muslim Women Conference in Tamale under the theme, "The Empowered Muslim, a Significant Figure for National Development", Madam Salami mentioned that the conference was organized to help young ladies to uncover and successfully accomplish their dreams and be able to become responsible women in future.

She charged ladies to strive harder and not give up their dreams. She explained that most women fail to fulfill their dreams as a result of not having the opportunity to speak to resource persons for encouragement and guidance.

She advised women to ensure peaceful elections and also stay away from any form of violence.

The President of the Association, Mr Abdul Raman Hassan, on his part, urged former executives, who have now become eminent personalities in the society to extend their support to the association.

According to him, the association is helping students to acquire scholarship and quality education in deprived societies but bemoaned the lack of funds to continue with such laudable initiatives.
