Non-Ga native speaking candidates at the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) have asked the relevant curriculum and examination authorities not to force their compatriots to write Ga papers in future.

Most of the candidates who spoke to the Ghana News Agency said Ga was not the predominant Ghanaian language in their localities hence it was difficult to speak and write it.

According to Miss Raman Zenatu and Miss Adinortey Setrina, both students Akodjo Junior High School, Ga should be optional to help non- native language speakers to communicate effectively in their mother tongues.

Some candidate also bemoaned the poorly printed graph sheets which could not be used for answering Mathematics questions effectively.

On the examination environment, especially at the Tema Senior High School, the candidates said they had to endure mosquito bites and the sighting of snakes.

They appealed to the Authorities renovate and disinfect buildings used for such examinations so that candidate can concentrate on their work.
