Accra, Feb. 11, GNA - The National Secretariat of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) on Friday asked members not to increase lorry fares arbitrarily when fuel prices go up in the event of the deregulation of the petroleum sector but wait for approved fares. A statement signed in Accra by Mr Fred Nana Yaw Manu, National Chairman, said the National Secretariat was in contact with the appropriate authorities on the possible increase in lorry fares should fuel prices go up. "Members are therefore cautioned not to arbitrarily increase lorry fares until the union comes out with approved fares," the statement said.
