Don’t use radio to solve internal problems - Chief

The Adontenhene of the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area, Ogigram Kobena Asiedu Botwe II, has cautioned supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to discuss internal matters on Radio and TV stations.

Nana Botwe said it was proper to use internal mechanisms to solve wrangling rather than going on radio stations, adding that this could disrupt the activities of the party.

The Adontenhene who is also the Swedruhene, gave the warning when Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate of the NPP paid a courtesy call on him at his palace at Agona Swedru, as part of his nationwide “Rise and Build' tour in the Central Region.

He warned members of the NPP not to do anything that would thwart the efforts of the flagbeaer to achieve his aims and objectives.

He pointed out that in-fighting by members would not make the NPP attractive for the people of Ghana to give it the nod in the 2016 elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by Dr Kofo Konadu Apraku, former Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, former Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr Kwamena Bartels, former Interior Minister, Mr Joe Ghartey, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Paa Owusu Ankomah, MP for Sekondi, Mr Robert Kutin, Central Regional Chairman of the NPP, and Mr Yaw Osafo Maafo, former MP Akim Oda and Minister of Finance.

Nana Botwe urged supporters of the NPP, especially those at the top, to be humble enough, and also be truthful in their daily activities so that the efforts of Nana Akufo -Addo would not be in vain.

The Swedruhene also cautioned members of the party to desist from tribalism, which in his view, did not augur well for the development of the party.

Nana Akufo-Addo explained that the rise and build tour embarked upon was to revive and rekindle the spirit of members of the party at the constituency and regional levels.

He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to rise and rescue the nation from the economy hardships, by voting out the NDC of power in 2016

He said the bad governance of John Mahama led-Government, had brought untold economic hardships on Ghanaians.

Nana Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that the NPP would transform the fragile economy into a prosperous one, adding that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government had mismanaged the economy.
