Agona Abodom, (C/R), Oct 31, GNA - Mr Enoch Kojo Kwakye, a Member of the Agona West Campaign Team of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has urged supporters of the party to desist from voting "skirt and blouse" in the up coming December polls.

He said the idea of casting a vote for Nana Akufo- Addo, the NPP Presidential Candidate and against the Parliamentary candidate would not be a good decision and prevent the party from realising its aims and objectives of moving the nation forward.

Mr Kwakye gave the advice when he addressed supporters of the party at a mini rally at Agona Abodom in the Central Region. He urged the supporters and polling station chairmen, who for some reasons became offended in the constituency to forgive and forget, saying, "Bury your differences to enable the Party to win big as expected".

Mr Kwakye said those who had decided to vote "skirt and blouse" must change their minds, since it would not be good for the party. He told the youth to support the NPP to enable it to continue the good policies and programmes of the government to improve living standards. He said the government would soon construct the road linking Agona Abodom to the University of Cape Coast campus at Agona Nyakrom, to assist traders and farmers to send their wares and produce there to sell.

Mr Kwakye said feasibility studies had been completed by the government to establish a sugar factory at Agona Abodom to create jobs for the unemployed youths. He urged Ghanaians to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP, adding that, the NPP has already laid a solid economic foundation for the country. Mr Samuel Kweku Obodai, Deputy Central Regional Minister and Parliamentary candidate for the constituency said he has done much for the Agona West Constituency and should be given the mandate to continue the good work.

He said over 200 students both at secondary and tertiary institutions had been given scholarships to further their education from his share of the Common fund. He later presented traditional drums and party 'T'-shirts to the supporters at Agona Abodom after a keep fit exercise, organized by the campaign team members
