Donewell Insurance Company Limited in partnership with Happy FM, Ghana’s number one sports station, are set to save lives on Saturday April 14 with the annual Blood Donation exercise.
The much-anticipated blood donation exercise which is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event, is meant to boost the stock of blood at the national Blood Bank.
The event will take place at the premise of Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Accra from 6am to 4pm and according to organizers, over 1,000 units of blood are expected to be collected to help our hospitals save lives in Ghana.
Chief Executive Officer of the Global Media Alliance Group, Mr. Ernest Boateng , said over the past 7 years, Happy FM has been committed to saving lives through the blood donation exercise and the station will continue with this great initiative.
“We want to encourage all listeners of Happy FM and compassionate members of the general public to come and help save a life with their bloods. This year, we want to collect about 1,000 units of blood to beef up the stock at the national blood bank,” Mr. Boateng added.
Meanwhile Robert Boateng, the General manager of Donewell Insurance Company Limited stated that aside the blood donation on the said day, there will also be health screening and other activities for the general public as well.
“Donewell Insurance is 25 years and as part of our CSR activities, a health screening and blood donation exercise would be held on Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Ebenezer Presby Church, Osu - Accra . We invite the general public to come and support this worthy cause by donating blood to save precious lives,” he said.
