Dormaa Ahenkro (B/A), Nov. 25, GNA - Dr Abu Sakara, the Convention People's Party (CPP), presidential running mate, has declared that the party is the only one among the lot, with modern ideas to transform Ghana from its present poverty-stricken situation into a future of hope and self-sufficiency.

He was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Dormaa Ahenkro, where he led a team to meet and discuss the party's manifesto with identifiable groups.

Dr Sakara described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as "exhausted" political parties that made noise and empty promises to deceive the electorate to win their votes. The Presidential running mate said the CPP's slogan of "Yeresesamu" was carefully chosen to match what it intended to do, particularly with job creation and poverty reduction. He urged the youth to give their votes to the CPP "for a smooth journey to a better Ghana".

Dr Sakara later met traders at two market centres in the town where the market women urged him and the CPP to ensure an improvement in their lives if voted into power. The Vice Presidential candidate also visited some key communities in Dormaa Municipality including Nkrankwanta.
