Dr. Apaak: We’ll assist Tain NPP communications director if…

The convener for Forum for Good Governance Dr. Clement Apaak says his outfit will provide support for Charles Akuoko Tuffour, the NPP Communications Director for Tain Constituency, should the party expel him over his alleged unsavory comment.

Mr. Tuffour has come under barrage of criticisms over his recent comment which suggested that the NPP is fighting a lost battle at the Supreme Court, and thereby, urged the leadership of the party to rather concentrate on 2016.

But Dr. Apaak commenting on the issue on Asempa FM’s flagship programme, “Ekosii-Sen” stated that “what the NPP communications director is saying makes sense because the whole process look as if only two or three people in the party have made it a principle to draw the election process into litigation. So people should listen to what Tuffour is saying.”

“We commend our brother for speaking the truth, even if they threatened to expel him or punish him because he has exercise his right to free speech many of us including the forum will help him to protect his freedom of speech and expression, he is a citizen of Ghana.”

He also mentioned that if the NPP goes further to dismiss him it will go a long way to dent the party’s image.
