Member of Parliament for Tano North, Freda Prempeh, has expressed her confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, to run for the presidency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

She shared her optimism while speaking to Etsey Atisu of GhanaWeb in Takoradi, Western Region, prior to the party's manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

The Member of Parliament assured that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's 70 bold policies are a step in the right direction since he is going to build on existing policies that have been set by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

"It is not just about breaking the 8. It is about getting things done for the good people of this country. You know we went through a lot of challenges, turbulent situations during the COVID time, but through it all we did not succumb. Through it all, we are not queuing for fuel. Through it all, we still have our lights on...we are still undertaking a lot of programs."

She also added that through the bold Agenda 111 initiative introduced by the president, Dr. Bawumia he will bridge the gap between the Executive and Legislature with his vice president when elected.

"I also believe that NAPO brings another length of experience to the whole ticket. Dr. Bawumia is a Muslim, NAPO is a Christian, so definitely we are bridging that gap. NAPO is much younger, NAPO appeals to the grassroots," she added.
