Dr. Kwaku Frimpong set to return to Ashgold as club president

Dr. Kwaku Frimpong will soon retake his role as the president of Ashanti Gold SC according to reports.

The business mogul left the position vacant some weeks ago after having a falling out with the supporters of the Miners.

This was after they expressed their displeasure over the demotion of Coach Yakubu Mambo to the academy side. It didn’t go down well with the fans who seek an audience with Dr. Kwaku Frimpong.

After refusing to meet with the supporter's leaders, he was hooted at after Ashanti Gold lost 1-0 to Bechem United at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League.

Since announcing that he is stepping down as the president of Ashgold, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has continued to fund the club.

Our sources have now confirmed that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong will be taking up his role after several consultations with some big men of the club.
