As Ghana heads to the December 7 general election, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, Founder/President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach and a world-renowned Evangelist, has appealed to Ghanaians for a peaceful and credible poll.

Dr. Tetteh made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on the sidelines of the launch of the chip-embedded passport by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Accra.

The renowned global evangelist urged Ghanaians to remember that they had only one Ghana and that whatever impact this election brings would have a toll on their nation.

"Prosperity will judge us if we don't do it right. So, I urge that before, during and after the election, we should remember we all have a collective responsibility to preserve the peace of the nation," Dr Tetteh said.

He noted that Ghana as a nation, whether the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or any political party, should come together in a massive, united front to vote for fairness, to vote for principle and to also vote for principle.

"We should not have an election that will come with an aftermath of violence. Peace is crucial now. We need peace in this nation like never before, and we should also remember that the entire world is watching this election and looking at this election and how we end up with this election."

Dr Tetteh said: "Ghana has been a haven of peace and a beacon of peace in this sub-region of Africa. We should maintain our stand because the whole world, the globe at large, is watching Ghana."

He encouraged all political leaders, the NPP leadership, the NDC leadership, the Convention People's Party (CPP) leadership and all political leadership to condemn violence and stick for peace.
