Accra , Mar 02, GNA -Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom Presidential aspirant for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) on Friday called on party members to spread the party's message to all Ghanaians.

This was contained in a statement issued by Mr Kofi Asamoah- Siaw National Secretary of PPP and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

Dr Nduom who is on a tour of the Northern and Upper East Regions, had earlier met party executives in Cape Coast, KEEA, Assin South, Obuasi and Kintampo to educate them on the process for registering new members and the selection of Parliamentary Candidates, the statement said.

It added that he met executives in the Northern Region to review plans for a sustained membership drive and also potential Parliamentary Candidates and local business people who intended to support activities of the party.

The statement said the crowd that met Dr. Nduom in Tampion in the Nanton Constituency of the Northern Region was an acknowledgement of the fact that the people recognised the role he played in accessing the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA).

“Prior to the completion of the MCA compact, Dr Nduom visited the Tamale-Nanaton-Savelugu area to interact with the people over the potential for mango cultivation and social investments in water to deal with the guinea worm menace” the statement said.

Dr Nduom, who introduced Mr Alhassan Shitobu, PPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nanton constituency, urged the people to support him to win the Parliamentary seat in order to pursue the area's development agenda.

In his address to the people of Bawku, he pledged the PPP’s commitment to peace and unity and also promised to prevent the party’s youth from engaging in acts that would bring about ethnic divisions in the area.

Dr Nduom said his party when voted into power, would ensure a free, compulsory and continuous education policy and also ensure that Ghana reduced the scourge of malaria.
