He said on June 16, this year, while Madam Nkansah was washing her cooking utensils and dishes, Afua Kodua told her that she would teach her a lesson. Inspector Kudolo said Akwasi Kodua followed his wife and threatened to beat the complainant if she played the fool and to buttress his threat, he broke some of the plates the complainant was washing and poured the water she was using in washing the utensils away. Inspector Kudolo said Akwasi Kodua then told the complainant that it was her husband he wanted and at that juncture, Afua Kodua not satisfied with the warning she gave the complainant, pounced on her and slapped her resulting in a fight. He said one Yaw Asare, who separated them, later took the complainant, with blood oozing from her nose to the police station to lodge a complaint.
