Twifo Praso (CR), Sept. 19, GNA - An Assin Foso District Magistrate's court on Wednesday, granted James Bosomtwe, a driver GH¢4,000 bail with two sureties for various taffic offences. Bosomtwe pleaded guilty to careless and inconsiderate driving, negligently causing harm, driving without a licence, failing to stop and failing to send his vehicle to a police station. The court presided over by Mr Seth Bio Nyamekye, deferred sentence to September 26. Prosecuting, Police Sergeant, Robert Drah, told the court that on June 10, this year, Bosomtwe drove a Nissan Urvan from Twifo Nyinase to Twifo Praso. He said on reaching the outskirts of Twifo Wamaso, the vehicle skidded off the road and went into ditch injuring three persons on board, but failed to report the accident to police. The prosecution said Bosomtwe was later arrested and during investigations realized he had no driving licence, and went into hiding when granted a police inquiry bail. He said Bosomtwe was arrested at his hideout at Mankessim on September 3, and after further investigations charged with the offences.
