Begoro (E/R), Dec. 19, GNA - A 32-year-old driver's mate, Kwabena Owusu, has been sentenced to four years' imprisonment by the Begoro District Court for stealing two loud speakers and an amplify system, costing 2.5 million cedis belonging to the Living Bread Ministry. Owusu pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful entry and stealing, while the accomplice, Yaw Kyei from Osino, is on the run. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector William Kwasi Nkrumah, told the court presided over by Mr Robert Djan that, the accused in the company of Kyei, broke into the chapel at Begoro on November 10, this year, and stole the items and left them in the care of Kyei at Osino. Chief Inspector Nkrumah said when the accused later went to retrieve the items for sale, Kyei refused to hand them over and it resulted into a quarrel. He said Kyei then reported the matter to the Osino Police, who apprehended the accused and handed him over to the Begoro Police but Kyei, who sensed danger, ran away.
