‘Due to God's blessing, the NPP president is still alive’ - NAPO

The Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has described the party as a ‘blessed party.’

According to him, all presidents who came to power under the flag of the NPP in the Fourth Republic are still alive.

As reported by TV3 in a post on X, NAPO stated that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo continues to receive guidance from former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

"Due to God's blessing, the NPP President [J.A. Kufuor] is still alive. President Akufo-Addo consults him. He has lived long. God wants him to see what has become of the good work he did," he was quoted to have said.

This comes as the NPP gears up to take power at the elections on December 7, 2024.

The party, led by Vice-President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is promising significant economic reforms and improvements.

It will be competing against NDC Flagbearer and Former President John Dramani Mahama; and the likes of New Force Movement leader, Nana Kwame Bediako; and Movement for Change leader, Alan Kyerematen.
