The Dzodze Traditional Council, led by its President and Paramount Chief, Torgbiga Dzoku V, paid courtesy visits to the St. Anthony Catholic Hospital and the Dzodze Ghana Mission Hospital, both in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, on July 16.

The aim was to familiarize themselves with the work of the facilities and to assess some challenges facing them to see how best the council can assist in addressing those challenges.

Speaking at separate engagements with the hospitals' management and staff, Torgbiga Dzoku commended the facilities for their commitment and dedication to saving lives and offering safe and affordable healthcare services to the people.

He said the traditional council was aware of the many challenges facing the hospitals in the area and would do all it could to support them.

Torgbiga Dzoku advised the medical staff, especially nurses, to add a human face to their work, adding that the nursing profession was a calling that required a show of empathy and humanity.

Mac Thompson Gbeti and Mr. Williams Ladzaka, administrators for the Dzodze Ghana Mission Hospital and the St. Anthony Catholic Hospital, respectively, commended Torgbiga Dzoku and his entourage for the visit, which they described as timely, and further called for cooperation between the traditional council, the community, and the hospitals towards the improvement of health delivery in the area.
