Afienya (GAR), Dec. 5, GNA - The Member of Parliament for the Ningo/Prampram constituency, Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, has urged the people of the area to vote massively for him and the National Democratic Congress party (NDC) to resume the good work it started.
He made the call at a rally held at Afienya on Friday to climax his two-week campaign tour of the constituency during which he interacted with the people and canvassed for votes to retain his seat.
Mr Mensah dismissed claims by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that he had diverted bags of cement meant for the construction of an Old Ningo/New Ningo bridge for his personal use, saying it was an excuse to cover up the government's failure to continue with the project, which was initiated by the NDC.
He accused the NPP of electoral malpractices, alleging that more than 42,000 ballot papers had been printed for the constituency to cater for 28,000 eligible voters in the area.
The MP advised the people to look at the performance of the NPP Government and vote it out because it has nothing better for Ghanaians except lies.
He said the NDC would resist any attempt to rig the elections and asked the people, especially supporters of the party to be vigilant on the voting day to prevent any confusion or mayhem.
