Accra, Feb. 2, GNA - The Electoral Commission (EC) on Thursday presented a provisional certificate of registration to the Progressive People's Party (PPP) as a political party in partial fulfillment of the political parties Act 2000, Act 574 Section 8 Subsection 2. A statement issued in Accra by Mr Kofi Siaw-Asamoah, Secretary of the party, copied to Ghana News Agency said "We welcome the decision by the EC to grant us the provisional certificate despite the difficult processes involved in party registration. We want to congratulate the EC for the professionalism with which they have conducted their activities all these years".
