Director of Operations for the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, has expressed gratitude to God for the wide margin by which President-elect John Dramani Mahama won the presidential election.

According to him, if not for the wide margin, the presidential election would have thrown the country into a state of turmoil.

The young politician, in a Facebook post, posited that judging from the way the Electoral Commission is handling the nine constituencies in contention, the presidential election results would have been tampered with.

He stated that if the margin was not as wide as witnessed, the EC would have interfered with the results and thrown the country into a point of no return.

Divine Nkrumah has therefore asked Ghanaians to thank God for this inspiring thought: "The 2024 elections could have turned violent if the outcome had been any closer."

"We have to thank God for saving Ghana. Given the ongoing issues surrounding the parliamentary election declaration, Mahama, the NDC, and Ghanaians in general are quite fortunate.

"The 2024 elections could have turned violent if the outcome had been any closer. If John Mahama hadn't won by a wider margin, there would likely have been interference from some big bullies, leading to chaos that might have reached a point of no return. Indeed, God saved Ghana."
