ECASARD holds meeting at Techiman

Techiman (B/A), Dec 28, GNA- The Brong Ahafo Regional annual general meeting of Ecumenical Association for Sustainable Association and Rural Development (ECASARD) has been held at Techiman in Brong Ahafo. Two delegates each were drawn from the 13 registered associations attended the 10th annual meeting of the association.

Addressing the delegates, Mr King David Amoah, National Co-ordinator of ECASARD asked members to team up with NGOs in order to improve upon their performance.

Mr Amoah urged the association and groups within the association to undertake livestock production and other ruminants which he said was important in poverty reduction.

He urged members to work harder and take stock of their performance of the previous year so as to improve upon their lot.

Mr. Ingo Stung, Counterpart Co-ordinator of ECASARD in Ghana hinted that the first six months would be devoted for workshops, courses and training programmes for members.

Mr Mahama Shaibu, Deputy Director of MOFA expressed appreciation of the cordial relationship between ECASARD and MOFA as partners in the agriculture.

He said since the organization is a sustainable one, the impact of its activities should be encouraged and applied for farmers to adopt scientific methods of improving the industry.
