The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has announced the arrest of 320 individuals allegedly involved in human trafficking and employment scams.

In a statement issued by EOCO on November 6, 2025, the agency detailed that the individuals were apprehended following an operation conducted by its Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in Kumasi.

According to the statement, the raid led to the arrest of 320 persons, 25 of whom are potential suspects, while the remaining 295 are believed to be victims of human trafficking and employment scams perpetrated under the guise of QNET.

“Today, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of EOCO carried out two simultaneous operations at two locations, resulting in the arrest of 320 individuals.

Initial assessment indicates that 25 of the 320 individuals are potential suspects, while the remaining 295 are deemed to be victims of human trafficking and employment scams perpetrated under the guise of QNET,” the statement read.

The statement further noted that the suspects and victims are currently undergoing screening, and the 25 suspects will be subjected to further investigations.

“The suspects and victims are currently undergoing screening, and the 25 suspects will be subjected to further investigations. This operation marks the largest anti-human trafficking operation in the country, following an earlier raid two weeks ago that led to the arrest of over 26 persons in Kasoa.

EOCO is working closely with QNET to clamp down on the misuse of their brand name to traffic and defraud innocent individuals. EOCO assures the public of its continued commitment to fighting economic and organised crime,” the statement added.
