Former Member of Parliament for North Dayi, George Loh, has accused the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) of not being professional in its investigations.
The Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) earlier this week ordered the interdiction of Afaglo who is head of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT’s) Management Information Systems, for presenting fake documents to secure the job following investigations into a questionable $72 million IT contract under his watch.
Speaking to Kaakyire Ofori Ayim on Atinka AM Drive Wednesday, Former Member of Parliament for North Dayi, George Loh, explained that it is not professional for EOCO as well as other investigative bodies to display bits of their investigations to the public.
According to him, the EOCO is supposed to be a quiet security apparatus which conducts its investigations without the knowledge of the public.
According to him, such publications will allow the Court of Public opinion to pass judgment even before trial begins.
” It is only in Ghana that national security coordinators are quick to grant media interviews; it is never done anywhere in the world,” he added.
