The East Mamprusi District Assembly in Northern Ghana has voted ?360 million for the construction of an office complex at Gambaga. Out of this amount, ?150 million will be released for the first phase of the project. About ?350 million has also been earmarked for school projects in the district. The District Chief Executive, Mr.. Issaka Bawa, disclosed this at the second ordinary meeting of the Assembly at Gambaga. He said ?40 million has been earmarked for the construction of a market at Nalerigu. Another ?30 million will be spent on the wiring of the Assembly buildings at Nalerigu and Gambaga, pending the extension of power from the National electricity grid to the two communities.
