At the Peace Chapel International at Abeka Lapaz, Accra where the church rounded its four-day Easter Convention with a service on the theme: "Who is this Jesus?", Bishop Bright Michael Adofoh, Leader and Founder of the
Church, said the occasion signified the period when God showed His love towards mankind through His Son's Death and Resurrection.
Bishop Adofoh urged Christians to use the occasion to show love and forgiveness towards one another, "while sharing the little we have with our less fortunate brothers and sisters in society."
On the December Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, Bishop Adofoh urged Ghanaians to allow the spirit of Easter "to energize and take us through a peaceful election." He asked politicians to ensure that their campaign messages touched on critical issues, instead of focusing on insults and attacks on personalities.
At the Divine Builders Bible Church where members climaxed their maiden Easter Retreat with an Inaugural Service at the Trade Fair Centre at La, Pastor James Kofi Abbrey, Host Pastor, asked Christians to use the Death and Resurrection of Christ to renew their faith in Him.
Pastor Abbrey expressed the hope that, no matter how broken their lives may be, as co-workers with God, Christians would personally experience God's divine and miraculous hand in every area of their lives, At Alajo, where a cluster of churches namely, Global Bible Believers Church, World Changers Chapel, Emmanuel Generation Ministry and Destiny Restoration Ministry, held a three-day joint Easter Convention under the theme: This Same Jesus", Pastor Felix Appiateng, host pastor, asked Christians to use the occasion to show love and compassion towards one another.
Pastor Appiateng also urged church leaders to show exemplary lives worthy of emulation by their followers, and sacrifice their time and wealth for the benefit of the poor and needy in society.
At the Redeemed Christian Church of God's Easter Service at the Trade Fair Centre, Pastor Odartey Lamptey, a pastor of the Belgium branch of the Church, expressed the hope that the occasion would enable God to quide partners to find their right choices.
On the upcoming elections, Pastor Lamptey asked seekers of political office to be truthful and responsible to the electorate, while urging the people to vote for politicians who would be prepared to be accountable to those who elected them.
