Embattled self‑acclaimed prophet Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has been remanded into police custody for two weeks following a ruling in court after his arrest.

According to reports, the Adentan Circuit Court made the ruling on January 1, 2026, after carefully reviewing his case and subsequently adjourned the proceedings to January 16, 2026.

In addition to the remand, the court has also ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the suspect at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital before his next appearance in court.

The evaluation is expected to determine how the court will proceed with the case, and he will be held accountable if found to be of sound mind.

The self‑proclaimed Ghanaian prophet made headlines especially on social media for claiming to be constructing a modern‑day Noah’s ark.

Explaining his motive for building the ark, Ebo Noah claimed that God had warned him that the world would end on December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas Day.

In describing his vision, he stated that God would bring about great destruction, with heavy rains and floods devastating the earth.

He further explained that he had been instructed by God to build the ark to rescue souls who wished to be saved, just as described in the biblical story of Noah and the flood.

In many of his clips, Ebo was seen showing off boats and building materials, claiming that he had constructed ten arks, but a police official said these claims all turned out to be false after they interrogated him.
