The management of Echoing Hills Village (EHV) a non-governmental organisation which has proven a safe haven to disability and children with special needs, has set up a committee to investigate rumour of child abuse and diversion of donated items.

The management of the orphanage that provides shelter, care and protection for the less privileged, said punitive actions would be taken against individuals who would be found culpable.

A statement issued by Mrs Felicia Opoku- Mensah, the Vice Board Chairman of EHV, said the orphanage would not shield anyone who would be found guilty of stealing; beating any child, diverting or smuggling items donated to the orphanage to be sold secretly, but would deal decisively with such people.

The statement called on the general public to disregard a video going round that depicted abuse of children at the centre since it was a doctored one.

It described the video clip as a fake video developed by some individuals with evil agenda to destroy the image of the centre for their personal gain.

It urged the general public to have confidence in the management of the Echoing Hills Village and continue to support them to save, protect and provide hope to the neglected children in our society.
