Scientists from the University of Cape Coast in collaboration with experts from the South Africa Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), would capture and stream the eclipse live on the internet website africlipse.csir.co.za as part of a CSIR knowledge dissemination drive. Recordings of the phenomenon - made via a telescope with a Sony DV camera and two additional webcams - would be available on the website for later viewing.
