Edumadze Refuses To Respond To Allegations

The Central Regional Minister, Isaac Edumadze has refused to respond to allegations of harrasment made against him by some executives of the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Mr Edumadze who is a Member of Parliament for the constituency, which is in the Central Region, is also accused of moves to replace the elected constituency executives with his friends.

The Central Regional Minister who was reprimanded by President Kufuor a few months ago for misbehaving told JOYFM that he will not respond to the allegations.


The spokesperson for the constituency executives, Appiah Mensah who is a district chairman of the party says the Regional Minister refused to attend a meeting to discuss issues afftecting the administration of the constituency.

He rather invited his hand picked party members to a metting at his residence in Cape Coast. According to the Constituency Chairman, Mr Edumaze also sidelined the executives and hand-picked his favourites to attend the recent national delegates congress of the NPP at Legon.


A private newspaper, the FREE PRESS has also reported that the Regional Minister, who has earned the mark of being the most controversial Minister in the Kufuor administration, has an agenda to remove the constituency executives and replace them with his favourites.
