Adjamesu (Ash), May 25, GNA - Some citizens in the Amansie East constituency are calling on the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr Kofi Poku Adusei, to render accounts of his stewardship during his eight-year term as MP.

They said he had done nothing concrete had in terms of development projects with his share of the MP's Common Fund. They said this in an interaction with newsmen during a tour of Mr Joe Osei-0wusu, the defeated parliamentary aspirant to some communities in the constituency to express his appreciation for their support despite loosing the NPP primaries.

Communities he visited included Adjamesu, Dominase, Senfi, Brosankro, Foase-Kokoben, Kokofu, Akyeremade and Bekwai. The people complained about poor roads, lack of potable water and the MP's failure to interact with the traditional authorities and the people.

They said they had lost confidence in him and warned that the NPP might lose the parliamentary seat as a result of his non-performance.

Addressing the supporters Mr Osei-Owusu reiterated his call on his followers to remain calm as the hierarchy of the NPP was looking into his petition and they should avoid embarking on any activity that would create divisions in the NPP family. He said what was needed now was that the NPP under its flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, be returned to power to enable him continue with its development agenda.
