Some eligible applicants defied the rains Saturday morning to queue to register for their new voter ID cards.
It was a wet morning on Day 5 of the ongoing registration and many thought the rains would stop eligible voters from going to the registration centres.
But at the Karikari Brobbey Park Registration Centre in Dansoman in the Ablekuma West Constituency, a queue had been informed by applicants in the rain.
Most of them carried umbrellas with some in rain-proof attires.
While almost all of them had face masks still on, some had to cluster under bigger umbrellas, obviously defying the social distancing rules in the fight against Covid-19.
The registration began on Tuesday, June 30 and it is scheduled to end on Thursday, August 6.
