Ellembelle NPP new Constituency Executives pledge win Ellembelle parliamentary seat in 2028
The New Patriotic Party in the Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region has elected a new set of constituency executives ahead of the 2028 general elections, with Team 34-Kwa, led by former DCE and 2024 parliamentary candidate Kwasi Bonzoh, winning 10 out of 11 positions.
The peaceful elections were held on July 12, 2026, at the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High School (NASS) Park under tight security provided by the Ghana Police Service. The polls were supervised by the Presiding Officer of the Ellembelle Electoral Commission, Pearl E. Klutse.
Out of 1,313 registered delegates, 1,301 cast their ballots.
The contest was keenly fought between "Team 34-Kwa", led by Kwasi Bonzoh, and "Team One Man", led by the incumbent Chairman, Sampson Ndoli, alias "Chairman One Man".
At the end of the contest, Jacob Kwofie of Esiama secured 488 votes to defeat the incumbent Chairman, Sampson Ndoli, who got 426 votes. Iddrisu Osman Ackah and Lord Armah managed 369 votes and 8 votes respectively.
James Cobbinah polled 635 votes to retain his position as the Constituency First Vice Chairman by beating John Ackah and Afari Justice, who had 547 and 108 votes respectively.
For the secretary position, Joseph Appiah Kainyah polled 620 votes to beat his contenders. Martin Attah had 425 votes, while Erzah Bright Sauzah got 240 votes.
The longest-serving Constituency Executive in the area, Nyameke Kojoe Bismark, maintained his Organiser position by beating his contenders, Bernard Cobbinah, who got 446 votes, and Kwaw Anthony, who had 333 votes.
The incumbent Women's Organiser, Lydia Ewusie, polled 651 votes to beat her contenders, Rahmata Salifu, who got 581 votes, and Elizabeth Neme, who also managed 64 votes.
Petra Hudu won the Youth Organiser position to become the first-ever female Youth Organiser in the party in Ellembelle since 1992 by beating her main contender, Hamza Pennah, who had 548 votes.

The newly elected executives will lead the party’s reorganisation and grassroots mobilisation efforts in Ellembelle ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The Chairman-elect, Jacob Kwofie, expressed profound gratitude to the delegates for giving him the nod to lead the party.
He promised to unite the rank and file of the party to capture the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the first time since 1992.
Delegates described the process as peaceful, transparent, and a demonstration of internal democracy.
