Enchi College of Education inducts college principal

The Enchi College of Education (ENCHICO) located in the Aowin Municipality in the newly created Western North Region has inducted into office, the former Vice Principal in charge of Academic and an alumnus of the college as the new principal of the college.

The colorful program saw dignitaries from all over the country including the Governing Council and Academic Board Members of the college, Chief Executives, Member of Parliaments, Professors from GIMPA, University of Cape Coast, Religious and Traditional Authorities, Alumni, Lecturers, Family members, Friends, Students and the general public.

Delivering his address, the newly inducted Principal of Enchi College of Education (ENCHICO), Mr. Philip Ntaah said he felt honoured to be inducted as the Principal of the Enchi College of Education in his alma mater.

He paid glowing tribute to the former Principals of the college, for laying a strong foundation for him to build upon.

He acknowledged the efforts of Traditional and Local Authorities for their support.

Mr. Ntaah said he envision that the Enchi College of education becomes a leading center of excellence in the teacher education and teacher development in the country and beyond.

The Principal seized the occasion to outline his mission driven goals of the college such as Ensuring that the college leadership and its operations observe the integrity of purpose with sound fiscal management and financial viability, build up whole-person education in the college teaching and non- teaching staff, students, programs and services to achieve the college’s vision, produce active partnership with the various actors like students, staff, alumni, sister institutions, government agencies and the external bodies and institutions in the education to drive the college’s vision, align programs and strategies to frame the college’s mission-driven goals of teaching, research and services with respect to social concerns in teacher education, improve the infrastructure base of the college by launching a development plan to improve roads and other structures on campus and strengthen student engagement activities and student-support services to make the college a congenial environment for learning and research.

Mr. Ntaah called upon the entire staff, students and alumni to fully support him to chart a new path for the Enchi College of education so that the light of the College which had started shining would definitely expel all darkness.

In his congratulatory message, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin Municipality, Mr. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi advised the Principal to be focused, determine and work as a team as these would enable him to achieve his missions aligned.

He said government is ever ready to support colleges of education to become fully flesh universities in the years ahead hence introduction of Bachelor of Education (Bed) program.

Speaking on behalf of Nananom of Aowin Tradional Council, Nana Ebbah Kojo II, the Chief of Abuchia assured the newly inaugurated Principal of the Enchi College of Education full support from the Traditional Authority.
