Chief Executive Officer of the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has said that his firm, will never fail regardless of any effort by some figures to see it fall.

Speaking at the company’s Thanksgiving Service, Dr. Agyepong noted that the organization will not fall victim to plans of the enemy as the hand of God is upon it.

“You can throw two million stones at this company. It will never ever fall because the agenda of God for this company has not yet began. What we want to say is that this company is not ours. It is for Ghana. And that is why it has existed up till date,” he noted.

The event held at the forecourt of the Zoomlion Ghana Headquarters at Adenta in Accra, had representatives of other companies, including state officials. This year’s edition was also used to honour former President Kufuor as he celebrated his 79th birthday.

While thanking God for the His mercies, Dr. Agyepong acknowledged the support given him by Mr. Kufuor during his time as President of the country.

He was appreciative of Kufuor’s posture towards the private sector as he stated that his company has seen growth as a result.

“In the history of governance of our country, you are acknowledged as a motivational leader who set the pace for golden age of business to the private sector. Such as your commitment to local entrepreneurship to develop an area that before your entry into active politics, you had exhibited excellence that even you offered the opportunity to local businessmen to partner government to grow businesses.

“Most importantly, having set the pace for the growth of the private sector, it is worth to note that the developmental path of motivating private sector players is extremely high on the agenda and growth of our dear country,” he said.

Kufuor in his speech commended Dr. Agyepong for venturing into waste management and advised government to support the private sector for development.

“You walk to our beaches, what do you see? Open defecation, dirt, plastic bottles all over the place. So when you have a conglomerate like Jospong trying to help society by removing all the dirt so we have heath, so people can live, that’s what our government sets out to do. We were so pleased to see this group tackling the problems that used to be tackled by district assemblies with their constituency offices which they weren’t doing efficiently.

“When Jospong came with this whole initiative, engaging so many young people to clean our neighborhood, we were startled and said this is what should be happening. It was an integral part of the vision and policy of my government. That the government should partner the private sector to do all the jobs society needs to be done for it,” the former President noted.
