20 students graduated with master degrees from Ensign
Ensign college of public health on Saturday conferred Master of Public health on twenty students with a call on the students to impact positively with the knowledge acquired to improve health care delivery.
The ceremony was the fourth congregation since the establishment of the college after pursuing a two-year Master of Public Health degree programme.
In his welcome address, Prof. Stephen C. Alder, President of the school charged the graduating students of 2019 to embrace adversity as an opportunity to find the greatness within themselves and to use that greatness to make the world a better place.
“In doing this, not only will you achieve personal greatness, but you will inspire others by your examples to find greatness in themselves,” He added.
The event was graced by several high-profile personalities including the founding partner, stratafrique limited Mr Martyne Mensah, Konor of Manya Krobo traditional area, His royal majesty Nene Sakite II, Founder and Board Chair, Dr Lynette Gay, Vice Board Chair, Prof. Agyeman Badu Akosa, and Pro-Vice Chancellor. Prof. Mrs Rita Dickson representing the Vice-chancellor of KNUST.
Students who distinguished themselves were also recognized and presented with awards.
The award for the overall best student went to Kenneth Missah, while Mary Dsane received the award for the Best Thesis. Bebbie Mangortey received the community service award.
The 20 students-10 males and 10 females-represents the fourth cohort of students who have graduated since the school’s inception in 2014
