Tamale (NR), April 19, GNA - Shouts of: "NPP will win a hat trick in December Elections!" Greeted Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama on his arrival in Tamale on Monday for a five-day working visit to the Northern Region.

Many people in buses, saloon cars, taxis and on motorbikes and bicycles followed the Vice President's convoy from the Tamale Airport to the Residency while many more lined up on both sides of the principal street to cheer him with shouts of "Asieho"! Others held placards some which read: "Our Father".

The action of the people slowed down the convoy as Vice President Mahama entered the city. The Security Guards had a tough time controlling them.

Vice President Mahama is scheduled to inspect on-going projects and inaugurate completed projects undertaken by the Government during the visit.

He is billed to interact with the chiefs and people of the Northern Region and spread the message of peace amongst the people.
