Entrance University College of Health Sciences holds first matriculation, inauguration

Forty-two students have been admitted to pursue Doctor of Pharmacy programme at the Entrance University College of Health Sciences.

The students were outdoored at the Entrance University College of Health Sciences’ first inauguration ceremony on November 2, 2018.

The school, affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is a Christian college which seeks to provide an ethical and entrepreneurial training for individuals who wish to pursue higher education in the health sciences.

The Council Chairman of the Entrance University College of Health Sciences, Professor Peter Ohene Kyei, advised the matriculants to be fully involved in all school activities and be committed to their studies.

He further urged the students to “own the institution” and ensure that their conducts remain a compliment to the development of the University.

‘’This University College is committed to academic, moral and spiritual transformation of students such that upon completion of their programme they will be well prepared, ready to transform society for the better,” he noted.

The Chancellor of the University, Samuel Amo Tobbin who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Group, congratulated the freshmen and women for their ardent performance that earned them admission into the institution.



He said the students are honoured as the Entrance University College of Health Sciences is the first private health college to be accredited by KNUST to run the Doctor of Pharmacy programme.

The six-year programme, according to Dr. Tobbin, will offer quality health science training to the students in “a godly environment” in order to make them professionals who will be able to provide excellence services in society. He disclosed that students of Entrance University College will have the opportunity to travel to various countries they are affiliated to during their training period to acquire international skills.



‘’Currently Entrance Pharmaceutical and Research center has operations in 12 countries in the sub-region. Students from Entrance University College will have the opportunity to acquire international training and experience in various areas of pharmaceutical business, moreover, the University College will provide access to tertiary education and support the overall national agenda,” he stressed.
