Eriksson to explore West African market.

Eriksson Mobile Communications, the mobile phone division of Swedish Telecomms giant Eriksson has announced its development plans for the West African sub region with Ghana as one of the main countries of focus. In view of this, two representatives from Erickson's Swedish head office Mats Paulson and Paul Steels today held a dealer training session for agents of mobile phone companies in Accra to introduce them to the new GF 788e, Ericsson's enhanced small, high end telephone, designed for the socially and occupationally motivated and fashion conscious. Currently there are around 180 million mobile phone users worldwide and within 4 years this number is expected to reach 600 million. Ericcson therefore is seeking to take every chance to develop the West African market where the future potential for growth is excellent.
