Evangelists' conference of Apostolic church ends

Apam (C/R), March 30, GNA - A three-day national delegates' conference for 450 evangelists, pastors, ministers, leaders and caretakers of the Apostolic Church Ghana has ended with a call on them to refrain from acts that might give way to religious conflicts.

Instead they should promote peace, love and unity of purpose, adding that as ministers and ambassadors of Christ, it behoves them to sow seeds, which could win more souls for Christ.

Pastor Prosper Hayford, National Witness Director of the church, who made the call, was speaking on the theme "the challenges of the youth in the new millennium".

Pastor Hayford said the conference was to prepare them for the church's national convention scheduled for August. He charged the participants to take their lessons seriously in order to win the confidence of the congregation in the course of their evangelisation.

Mr Ofori Kuraga, National Witness Secretary of the church charged the members to ensure that they move abreast with the time, taking interest in national issues and giving same education to those they teach.

Elder Samuel Micah, National Youth Organiser explained the rationale behind the National Population and Housing Census and urged them to go and educate the congregation to co-operate with census officials to make the programme a success.
