The Volta Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic party (NPP) has asked Voltarians to look at the positive records of the NPP government in the region and vote for the party come 2016.
In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Monday, Joseph Homenya stated that there is evidence to show the good works of the NPP in the region. He mentioned that the people of the Volta region should look at those elements and cast their votes for the NPP and resist any form of propaganda.
He hinted that the good roads, schools, hospitals and social intervention programmes during the Kufour administration signify the good legacy the party left in the Volta region.
He urged the people of the Volta region to consider the indiscriminate taxes the current government has placed on electricity, water among others.
“Most people end up spending all their earnings on electricity,” he fumed.
The flagbearer for the NPP will begin his Volta Regional tour today (24 October 2016). This follows right after President John Dramani Mahama's visit to the region last week.
