Expect more masked security personnel during 2020 elections – Abronye DC

Bono Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe has said citizens should be ready to see more masked security personnel during the 2020 elections to protect them from the NDC.

According to him the police and military personnel seen during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election will be intensified following any intended bloody plan by the largest opposition party members.

Abronye DC as he is affectionately called during an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme noted that security forces in the country will do their best to maintain the peace and order enjoyed in this country, no matter the evil deeds from opposition parties.

He added that the Minister of State in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong has to be promoted for acting swiftly on his intelligence during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

Minister of State in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong has confirmed his outfit deployed the masked security men present at the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections.

According to him, the men were deployed based on reliable information to his outfit concerning the by-election at the La Bawalashie polling centre.



“We deployed all kinds of security forces in operation depending on the information we had from the polling grounds, there were some in uniforms and some in plain clothes. This is not a new directive, it happens all the time,” he stated.
