Eye on Port adjudged the best logistics and transport serialized media program at GLOTA awards

Eye on port, the authoritative current affairs Maritime programme has been adjudged the Best Logistics and Transport Serialized Media program within Ghana’s logistic and transport sector for the year 2018 and 2019 by the Ghana Logistics and Transport Awards.

Eye on Port an initiative of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority aims to educate and inform the shipping and general public on happenings within the clearance chain, the industry and the international trade community.

Ever since it first inception in April 2015, Eye on Port has consistently aimed at bringing the activities of the port closer to the public and the public also closer to the port.

It is touted to be so far the only television program that focuses on shipping and maritime trade in Ghana.

Eye on Port has carved a niche for being the fastest, elaborate and most reliable source of informing the entire Ghanaian sub-regional community on sea trade matters.

At the recently organized Ghana Logistics and Transport Awards, distinguished individuals and companies within the country’s Logistic and Transport value chain were awarded for their contribution to the growth of the country’s logistics and transport sector.

The founder of the of Apex Shipping and Commercial Company David Arkutu won Lifetime Achievement Award and Kwabena Ofosu Appiah the immediate past President of GIFF was also presented with a citation for his dedicated service towards the international trade in Ghana.

“Two years ago when this GLOTA Awards company emerged I said it is the right thing to happen to the Logistic and Transport Industry in Ghana. What it tells everybody is that whatever you are doing in your particular industry there are companies who are measuring your performance,” David Arkutu opined in an interview.
