All across the country, weekends are known for the time they provide for weddings, out-doorings and of course, funerals.
Funerals in Ghana are an important part of the cultural process.
Ghanaians believe they bid goodbye to the dead at funerals. Indeed, in some parts, it is considered some sort of family disgrace if no funeral is held for the dead. Funerals are announced with obituaries.
But the obituaries Ghanaians are known for are more special and in some many cases, more bizarre and even funny.
YEN.com.gh brings you some of the most interesting obituaries that people have thought up.
1. "Some relatives are very wicked"
The origin of the obituary is unknown. But according to mynewsgh.com, the deceased who passed on at age 54, had the family initially design a poster with the inscription “home call”.
However, the friends of the deceased on their own went ahead to design the “Some Relatives are wicked".
The new obituary was to send a message to the family that they (his friends) know the family killed him.
2. "What A Rapture"
The origin of this obituary is also unknown. But it does not seem like the sympathisers of this deceased man were going for "funny" when they made the obituary.
Many people have however found it quite funny especially because the idea of rapture brings something totally different into the mind of those who may be Christians.
"WHAT A RAPTURE!" paa?

We're certainly taking these obituary screamers to another level in Ghana. What used to be "what a shock" is now rapturing into something else.#TypicalGhanaMoment pic.twitter.com/Ohjk5uPubW
It is not quite clear howand why this woman's family wrote this. But as it happened, the 83 year-old woman would still have a funeral.
We wonder how people reacted at the funeral of a woman whose obituary caption was "At Long Last".
Its only in Ghana that you will see an obituary like this ???????????????? #onlyinafrica #onlyinghana pic.twitter.com/PGi5EVcUBy
