Accra (Greater Accra) - A 20-year-old man, who posed as a journalist with the Castle Press Corps, on Friday appeared before a circuit tribunal charged with pretending to be a public officer. Hoenyefia Noah Nash, pleaded not guilty and was granted one million cedis bail to re- appear on 14 January. Police Inspector J. K. Adu told the tribunal chaired by Mrs Elizabeth Anderson-Yebuah that, on 5 January, Nash went to the proprietor of Afrikiko Restaurant and introduced himself as a journalist from the Castle, and that he had been assigned to come and investigate why employees of the restaurant have not been paid their salaries. The proprietor demanded his identity but the accused could not produce any, so she became suspicious and reported the matter to the Police, who arrested him.
