Keta, Oct; 12, GNA - The Keta Circuit Court, has sentenced a 65-year-old farmer, to six months imprisonment for threatening the life of the Regent of the Anlo Awoamefia Stool, Francis Nyonyo Agboada. Yao Domee, who pleaded not guilty to threat of death, was however discharged by the Court on the second count for offensive conduct.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector John K. Afayizu, told the Court presided over by Mr. Fredrick Miezah Anyimiah that the accused invited one Emmanuel Aheto to his house on December 10, last year, and showed him a document that contained the warning to the Regent.

He also told the witness that if the Regent contested the parliamentary seat for Anlo, he would find every possible means to eliminate him.

He said Emmanuel refused the request of the accused, to circulate a document that sought to damage the political ambition of the Regent.

Meanwhile Counsel for the convict had expressed his intention to appeal against the sentence.
