Akyem Swedru, April 26, GNA- A circuit court at Akyem Swedru on Thursday remanded Kwadwo Ntsiful, a 42-year-old farmer to reappear on April 25 for burning 240,000.00 cedis.

Ntsiful plea was not taken.

Police Chief Inspector Alice Appiakorang told the court presided over by Mr Edward Kwame Bosompem Apenkwah that the complainant and the accused person were married couples living at Akyem Aperade Railway Station in the Birim South District.

She said in June last year, the accused sold a quantity of rice belonging to his wife for 490,000.00 cedis but was expected to had given the wife 390,000.00 cedis after some deduction. The prosecutor said Ntsiful's wife demanded an explanation from the husband as to why he should give her 240,000.00 cedis instead of the initial amount agreed upon.

Ntsiful became offended, collected the 240,000.00 cedis from his wife and threw the money into fire.
