Kade (Eastern Region) 1 Nov. '98 A 30-year-old farmer, Kwame Tetteh has been remanded in prison custody for two weeks by a community tribunal sitting at Kade. Tetteh is charged with negligently causing harm with a gun to Mr Francis Asare, a teacher of the Pramkese Roman Catholic primary school. Tetteh's plea was not taken. He will re-appear on November 3. Inspector J.K. Kuevor told the tribunal chaired by Mr Maldwyn E. Essandoh. that at about 8:00 PM on October 17, this year, the suspect who was on hunting expedition first shot and killed a bush cat near the Roman Catholic primary school on the out-skirts of the town. Inspector Kuevor said Tetteh claimed to have seen another bush cat. This time, when he shot at it, some of the pellets hit Asare in the chest. The victim was rushed to the St. Dominic's hospital at Akwatia for treatment. The prosecutor said Tetteh was arrested by some people and sent to the police station.
