Farmer's House Burnt Down

Dodowa (Greater Accra) 16 Nov., The Dodowa Police have mounted a search for two unidentified men who burnt down a farmer's house at Adomorebe near Oyibi in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday. Personal effects and cash worth over one million cedis belonging to Mr.. Adjetey Sowah, the farmer was destroyed during the fire. Briefing GRi at Adomorebe the assembly member for the Akono Electoral Area, Mr.. James Tettey Akpo said at about 1.00 pm on Saturday two unidentified men were spotted in the premises of the farmer. According to Mr.. Akpo, as a result, some of the farmers went to the scend only to find to their dismay the house of fire. The Assembly Member said, later, Mr.. Sowah made a report to the police. Nii Nuertey Akpo, Chief of Akono when contacted confirmed the story and said that was the second time of such incident against Mr.. Sowah. He linked up the incident to some Akuapem resident farmers over land litigation in the area.
