Takoradi, Aug 9, GNA - Poultry farmers in the Western Region have appealed to the government not to sign the Economic partnership Agreement (EPA) by the European Union. They said if the government signed the agreement it would collapse the poultry industry in Ghana. Speaking at a general meeting in Takoradi on Wednesday, the farmers appealed to the government to opt out of the EPA and to provide protection for the local poultry industry by imposing high tariffs on imported poultry products
