Farmers in court for failing to take part in communal labour

Twifo Praso (C/R) Jan.21, GNA- Three farmers from Atti Morkwa in the Central Region are standing trial at the Twifo-Praso District Magistrate Court for failing to take part in communal labour. Kwadwo Clement, Yaw Ketewa and Kofi Peter, who pleaded guilty, were granted a bail of 500,000 cedis each with surety and would re-appear on Tuesday February 1.

Twifo Praso (C/R) Jan.21, GNA- Three farmers from Atti Morkwa in the Central Region are standing trial at the Twifo-Praso District Magistrate Court for failing to take part in communal labour. Kwadwo Clement, Yaw Ketewa and Kofi Peter, who pleaded guilty, were granted a bail of 500,000 cedis each with surety and would re-appear on Tuesday February 1. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Robert Mensah, told the Court presided by Mr Joseph Blay, that in June last year, the three accused persons ignored summons for communal labour and also defaulted in paying a fine of 15,000 cedis each imposed on them by the Unit Committee.
